如果一棵樹在森林中倒下，沒有人聽到，這倒下的聲音能算是個聲音嗎？
這會是一個很好的哲學辯論問題，聲音如果沒有人聽到，聲音還是聲音嗎？


對於第一次聽到這個問題的人，他們可能會覺得這個問題非常有趣，會想要與人分享
不過今天不是來討論嚴肅的哲學問題，而是前幾天看到了一段影片

一群老外在玩Team Fortress2, 影片中第八秒開始，有人問了

有人回他

[Well, it's all really a question of whether that sound is a technical detail or merely a matter of perception. Now if you're counting it as a matter of perception, then yes, somebody has to be there to hear it, but if you're counting the sound as the manipulation of airwaves and molecules bouncing off of each other, then no, nobody has to be there for a sound to exist.]

簡單來說，如果我們認為要聲音要被聽到才算是聲音，那麼樹倒下的聲音不存在的。如果我們認為聲音其實是空氣與粒子的振動，那麼樹倒下的聲音是存在的，因為如此意義下的聲音並不用被人聽到就可以存在。

這種回答並不算特別有新穎，但是配上Team Fortress2 的槍林彈雨，回答的人還能夠迅速且準確的說出這種回答，實在令人佩服，尤其是有人接著問

'How did you know this? Did you read a book or something?'
